The Parliamentarians’ Guide to Climate Change
The Parliamentarians’ Guide to Climate Change
The Parliamentarians’ Guide to Climate Change, a new report published in October 2024 by the University of Exeter and Peers for the Planet, in association with GLOBE and other partners, is a vital resource that draws on the latest climate science to inform and encourage Members of Parliament to take action on climate change.
GLOBE is now taking this valuable report further afield to inform and support parliamentary engagement in other parliaments around the world. GLOBE has taken the initiative to translate the report into all three languages of the COP28/COP29/COP30 Troika Presidencies —Azerbaijani, Arabic, and Brazilian Portuguese—over the coming year, as part of the lead-up to COP30 in Belém, Brazil.
The first Guide to be translated will be in Azerbaijani and its release, in partnership with University of Exeter and Peers for the Planet, planned to coincide with COP29 in Baku in November 2024.
The Arabic and Portugese versions will be published in 2025.
