Since taking on the Presidency, Brazil has gone on to make very important announcements including:
COP30 Presidency Team
Circle of Leaders
As part of a new innovation, the COP30 Presidency initiated several leadership circles to help with its visions and objectives. Accoridngly, they see the Circle of Leaders “as key levers for COP30 decision-making, contributing to debates on climate finance, strengthening the voice of traditional and indigenous communities, reflecting on the future of climate governance, and mobilizing around a new approach to climate ethics.” They include:
Circle of Global Ethical Stocktake: This includes the United Nations Secretary General António Guterres, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva of Brazil, Minister Marina Silva, with support from the Presidency Team.
Circle of Finance Minister for the Roadmap from Baku to Belém: Headed by Brazil’s Finance Minister, Fernando Haddad, and ministers from the area, experts, the private sector, and civil society representatives.
People’s Circle: This is headed by Minister Sonia Guajajara with the key objective of advancing “the COP30 President’s efforts to listen to the demands and contributions of indigenous peoples, traditional peoples — and communities — of Afro-descendants”.
Circle of Presidents: This circle gathers all COP Presidents from COP21, and is headed by former French Foreign Minister, Laurent Fabius.
Mutirão
COP30 vision is centred on the philosophy of a global Mutirão. This is a call for collaboration to drive climate action fro the local to the global. It envisions a participatory system which transcends COP30.

COP30 Action Agenda
Based on a synthesis of the results of the first Global Stocktake (GST-1), the COP30 Presidency proposed the translation of the results into six thematic areas and thirty objectives. This is what frames the COP30 Action Agenda.

Letters from the Presidency
Following from the tradition started during COP28, the COP30 Presidency over the course of the year has continued to engage Parties, Constituencies, civil society, and the private sector through series of letters. All together, seven letters were released. Access all the letters here.
COP30 Thematic Days
The daily themes for this year’s COP cover a variety of issues ranging from adaptation, through bio-economy, ocean, forests, SMEs, AI, human rights and justice, etc.
